Desert Door Texas Sotol is a premium distilled spirit wild-harvested and crafted in Texas. It is made from the sotol plant (Dasylirion texanum, also known as desert spoon), a resilient evergreen succulent native to the Chihuahuan Desert of West Texas. Though often compared to tequila and mezcal, sotol is a distinct category because the plant belongs to a completely different botanical family than agave.
